All treatment sessions are 30 minutes.
At your initial session, I will spend most of the time asking questions to determine what caused the injury and what structure(s) needs treatment. This will be followed by an objective assessment where I will look at your movement and strength, to fully determine the diagnosis.
I will then be able to tell you why your problem has occurred and how it should best be treated.
Most injuries will require physiotherapy to relieve the pain and return you back to your full function. Physiotherapy can reduce the recovery time and is vital for educating you on how to best manage your own injury.
The number of treatment sessions you require will depend on the injury and will be discussed after your initial assessment. As a guideline, most injuries can take anywhere between 3 and 16 sessions to fully resolve. If your injury is acute, it may be best to have treatment twice a week to allow for a faster recovery.
